I have my Dad and Grandad to thank for my passion for racing, they were the ones that introduced me to this fabulous sport through their ownership and I soon became fascinated by the power and excitement of horse racing. I wanted to start this syndicate as I believe ownership is a device to help enhance the popularity of racing. VENTURA RACING reflects my values and ideals surrounding this great sport: welfare for the horses, modernism and the belief that racing should be for everyone to enjoy.
My love of racing combines perfectly with my love of photography. You will always find me at a race meeting with my camera taking images of the magnificent athletes on show

During my early adult years, it is fair to say that I only had a passing interest in racing, making a point of only really watching the big race meetings. However, things started to change in August 2008 when my Dad purchased a lovely looking Bahamian Bounty chestnut yearling to be trained with Richard Fahey and named him VENTURA COVE. His second race was at York in a class 3 Novice Stakes and of course, we were able to attend the races as owners. Well that was it I had the bug!
I purchased my first syndicate share in 2010 and had my first winner at Wolverhampton in a class 5 race in November. I was unable to attend the race that day so had to settle for going to a bookie down the road to watch it and believe me it was still a fantastic feeling to have a winner! In the following 7 years or so I have been involved in some wonderful horses that have taken me all over the world including Royal Ascot, Dubai on World Cup night, Sha Tin in Hong Kong and Prix de I’Arc de Triomphe day. I have been an owner in 3 separate Group 1 winning horses and had my fair share of luck when it has come to selling some horses for high prices. I am also responsible for getting my two sons involved in racing to the extent that Thomas decided to set up his own syndicate, VENTURA RACING. Over the years I have seen the good, the bad and the ugly in terms of being involved in syndicates but the journey has been amazing.
