Warsaw Road Makes His Mark At Chelmsford

Warsaw Road gets his head in front after a fantastic ride from Robert Winston!

"It was a really good run at Ascot last time. Warsaw Road had a good draw and there was plenty of pace for him to aim at. He was always travelling really nicely and when he got the gap he took it. Luca was bullish that he would run a big race."

Robert Winston

Warsaw road has been very unlucky this year facing a couple of setbacks that have meant we haven't seen the best of him. He went into the race at Chelmsford on the back of a decent reappearance, after injury, at Ascot and was a 5/1 shot to win on the day. It was the first time Robert Winston had ridden Warsaw Road but the pair seemed to get on like a house on fire!

He broke well, from a tricky stalls position, and managed to hang on to a place on the rail. Robert kept him just behind the leaders all the way around. Off the final bend, a gap opened up for him on the rail and he kicked away to win eased down.

It was a great day for his owners and the syndicate as he is a horse we have always thought will win plenty of races and hopefully, we will be seeing him in the winners circle a lot more often.
